About Me

Hi, I am Shahriar Iqbal, a Software Engineer with over three years of experience. I recently completed my Master’s in Software Engineering and Information Systems at the University of Oulu, Finland. My academic journey has been an exciting blend of theory and practice, including coursework in Machine Learning, and my primary research focused on XR technologies.

My journey in tech began in Bangladesh after completing my Bachelor’s in Computer Science (2020) from the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST). Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with several tech companies. My expertise lies primarily in full-stack software development, with a specialization in the MERN stack. I have a strong command of frameworks like React.js, Node.js, Flask, and Laravel, along with hands-on experience in DevOps, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines.

I’m used to high-pressure environments and thrive when I can put my problem-solving skills to the test. I’m passionate about continuous learning and growth. I’m not limited to a fixed tech stack and am always open to learning new technologies and following the latest trends.

Outside of my academic and professional life, I enjoy exploring new cultures and have a passion for traveling. I also enjoy sports and mostly play table tennis.

Research

My research interests span human–computer interaction, immersive technology design, digital health systems, and the integration of machine learning and artificial intelligence into interactive environments.
